"If I didn't have you"

Feb 20, 2010 03:09

This is a hilarious video.  It was described to me as "When Carl Sagan meets Cupid."  It's sort of a satirical love song with a strong mathematical bent.

If that hasn't sold you on watching it, I'm posting some lyrics in comments, but it's funnier if you just watch without reading them first.

Reminds me of Davinci's Notebook "Title of the Song"..

Excellent post. I wrote a proof showing why I should be someone's valentine once. She agreed so I say "Math. It works bitches."

I'm glad your math worked out--it doesn't always. :)

If I didn't have you to hold me tight
If I didn't have you to lie with at night
If I didn't have you to share my sighs
And to kiss me and dry my tears when I cry

Well, I really think that I would
Have somebody else

If I didn't have you
Someone else would too

Your love is one in a million
You couldn't buy it at any price
But of the 9.999 hundred thousand other possible loves
Statistically some of them would be equally nice

Given the role chaos inevitably plays in the inherently flawed notion of fate
It's abstruse to deduce I found my soulmate
At the age of 17
It's just mathematically unlikely that at a University in Perth
I happened to stumble on the one girl on Earth
Specifically designed for me

I love Tim. :D Haven't gotten his songs out of my head since Hope sat me down and infused me with one of his DVDs a month ago. Not sad about that.
