...And fast forward several years since my last (private) post where I'm now basically married (for all intents and purposes) and posting via this nifty thing called a "smartphone app" - something that almost everyone has these days while it was only the latest hot technology & just the hard-core tech geeks had a smartphone the last time I posted.

Movies aren't dead...
...But most of the people at the movie venue I'm going to are! I'll be watching A Place In The Sun with Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Clift at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery tonight. We'll be sitting on blankets with our picnic baskets full of snacks - I've never been so excited to go to a cemetery before... =) -

SUNDAY APRIL 2ND MARKED MY 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF LIVING IN LOS ANGELES! (How crazy is that? It certainly doesn't feel like I've been here a whole year!) -

I wake up on a sleepy Saturday morning, the room aglow with sunshine telling me of a beautiful September day outside. My naked skin is enveloped in gray sheets worn soft over the years. traffic in L.A.
you know, i can deal with traffic here. it's like traffic anywhere else, just there are more highways to get clogged and they get clogged more often. but you know what i can't deal with? there are way too few city street intersections with LEFT TURN ONLY LIGHTS and lanes! that makes the city streets clog up just as bad as the freakin' highways ( Read more... ) -
new apartment, new job, new life...
So I finally made it. I've got my own apartment now and I just started my new job at Transwestern Commercial Services today, so I can finally start feeling settled here. I've only got a 6-month lease on my apartment right now, but if I continue to like it as much as I currently do, I can see myself staying here for several years. It's the same way ( Read more... ) -
