Myself, I like the forests best. There are still many in the vastelands, the Schwartzvald, for instance. Trees so thick, and if you not mind having to take care of a few monsters, peaceful.
There iz also something to be said for the airships. I haf only been priveleged to ride along above the clouds tvice, a long time ago. Vunderful.
But nothing, in the end, beats Kestle Heterodyne, the vay it overlooks the city vith such...power. Vhere my people vas created, and so in a vay, it iz the whole vorld, you know? ::puzzled:: That may not make sense. I iz sorry. Anyvay, it iz in ruins now. ::smiles:: That vill change vhen ve get home.
It sounds wonderful, Maxim. I hope that you and your people, and the young girl who is your savior, will rebuild the legacy of your creation into something even finer.
And I understand you; it makes perfect sense. Your world is defined by the barriers and constraints you are familiar with. I have soared the endless reaches of space, yet I still consider only one tiny world amongst the billions to be truly home, and only one other to be comfortingly familiar.
I cannot give you an airship ride, Maxim, but if you are at leisure I could offer you a trip above the clouds upon my board? It seems such travel is a much sought-after experience, and I am happy to offer it to a worthy friend such as yourself. Perhaps the young female of your acquaintance would like to join us, too?
I hope so, too. It vill be nice vhen all obstacles, all possibilities of losing her, iz taken care of and ve iz safely there. Of course, there vill still be plenty to do from the start. I haf heard that lately vhat iz left of the Kestle's fascilities haf been used for ...special human experiments... by others. Miss Clay vill not like that. Vhich shall be interesting.
Yah. Of courose, even better than going back vill be getting the rest of the kin back as vell. Haf you any family?
I not know vhere Grace iz right now, unfortunately. But I myself vould very much like such a thing.
