Las Gallinas Wildlife Ponds

So, LJ, my userpics and image uploads are broken. What is going on?

In other news, I found a new location for otters. Yay! Las Gallinas Wildlife Ponds (which is officially the Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District Reclamation Area, so these otters are actually living in treated sewage, but we try not to think about that too much).

Possibly a transient issue with the images? Your userpics seem fine to me at the moment.

Presumably, the treated stuff's relatively clean - else, it'd surely be quite niffy. ^_^:

Yay ottaz! Don't think I've ever seen any in the wild, yet. Hopefully I can change that in the coming year or so. ^_^ (Unrelatedly, otters spot a butterfly =:)

Treated sewage is (I imagine) cleaner than a typical natural pond with lots of animals living in it. And has the added benefit (for the animals) that as soon as you use the word "sewage" no humans want to go swimming or fishing there.
