My other half and myself are participating in the online gaming phenemenon known as Warhammer: Age of Reckoning (Warhammer Online was a prior incarnation of the Warhammer universe being converted into MMO form that was scrapped - a technicality to be sure and as such I will henceforth refer to my upcoming "crack" as WAR) and would love to see ( Read more... )

If I had anything to provide, I would, but it sounds like Sarah's machine is pretty much my old machine (it's even got a 5700 in it), and is AMD besides. Gomen. =(

And I'm still not playing Warhammer with you guys. =) I have recently jumped into Tabula Rasa, but only because I was in the beta for (literally) about ten minutes and they just sent me an email to tell me that this month is free to former testers. The thing used to suck horribly, but apparently it's gotten a lot better. I guess I have a month to pass judgement, but when it comes to games with monthly fees, I am not a fan.

Besides, some of the Warhammer classes are sex-restricted, are they not? If I can't play as a pretty girl how I want to play as a pretty girl, then no dice, my friend.

To be honest, it sounds like you need a new motherboard more than anything. The bad news is, the components you have right now probably won't be compatible with the new motherboards in the market any more, so once you replace the motherboard, you'll probably have to replace everything else (we just went through all this ourselves). We might have some compatible memory from our old computer lying around somewhere. If you do change the motherboard, though, we can get virtually everything else for super cheap using Justin's Best Buy employee discount (it's an awesome discount) - no motherboards there, though. Let us know your thoughts and we'll try to send you something for Sarah's b-day. :) Glad to see you've posted so much this month. It's nice to hear from you. Keep it up!

P.S. I'm impressed you're even managing to play Warhammer on what you've got. Wow! That's dedication.
