Yarn Dying fun and other projects

I did 2 of these a couple days ago, and 2 of them a couple weeks (I think?) ago, and I really like how they turned out. I dyed them with Kool-Aid, and I was a mixologist, so I really have no idea how to get the colors I got again. And I have no idea what I'm going to do with this yarn!

Hmm. I have a cute pattern that I've made with Sugar and Cream... it's a 2-needle sock or mitten that I got out of a book. Let me look it up whnen I get home. :) It's really quick and easy too.

Thank you very much! I have a couple of ideas now but I might like that one better. My next big tasks to take on are socks and cables, but I don't really have time to experiment right now. I need to get this stuff done within the next few days!

haha Thanks. It's actually the first hat that I ever made and I am really happy with it. And it's so soft. My cousin is Polynesian and the babies daddy is black, and I was thinking that turquoisey color would look so nice up against their darker skin.

It's lots of fun, and quite easy to do. I like that I can make whatever color or color variation that I want, and that all of those yarns are truly one-of-a-kind!

Thank you!

Oops, I somehow posted anonymously, so it's getting screened. You can delete it instead, cause all I was saying was this:

This is true... I have some lovely pink and purpl-y varigated stuff that I accidently made when I didn't like a colour combination and overdyed the whole thing with grape, so that the yarn would still be varigated, but at least be in the same RANGE of colours. :D You can make some REALLY pretty stuff by dipping the whole skein in once quickly, and then dipping it in not quite all the way, and then lower and lower, you get the picture. :) It helps to have lots of vinegar in the mixture, though, as that apparently helps it absorb dye better. Or soak it in vinegar-water before the dyeing.

And if you dye your hands on accident, those Mr. Clean magic erasers DO work on skin. Quite well. :) And don't rough up your hands at all. Add a little dish soap to the wet eraser and scrub away! :D
