On Sunday we went on a hike to a tree they call Arbol Hueco. We wlked up a hill in a nearby village for about an hour and we had an amazing view of San Jose. We walked down a narrow dirt path along a mountainside through a forest. We got to the tree and it was one of the craziest things I had ever seen. Yesterday I shared a little of my american culinary ability with my host family. I made them french toast and I must say it was pretty freakin good, but that may be because it was better then having more rice and beans. THen for lunch my host mom made hot dogs. On friday´s all the Peace Corps Trainees go to San Jose to have classes together. It was raining most of the day, even though it is in the middle of the dry season. I am living in a village with 4 other people, Ann, DOminique, Bethany, and Noelle. We areall in similar language levels and all in the Rural COmmunity Development Program. We went out tonight to A town on the outskirts of Costa Rica. Me and a few otehr people went around and got some food and checked out a local bar for a beer and to check out the atmosphere.
