So, I made it to Yreka in one piece after a 12-hour trip and a ticket to prove Nevada Highway Patrol men are really strict. I've been here since Friay, and nothing too exciting has happened just yet. I graduated today. It's such a good feeling, and I'm trying to savor that before letting my mind wander to the worries of how I'm possibly going to figure out everything I need to for Yreka in just a week and a half. Tonight, at about 8:40 p.m., my college career was officially finished with the completion of my Business Law final. It's a weird feeling to know that I'll never have to do homework again, but it feels great after stressing over so much the past few weeks, and especially today ( Read more... )

I leave tomorrow (Thursday) and embark on a 10-hour trip to Yreka, Calif., which will probably be where I will start work this summer and live for at least the next two years. The trip's purpose is to finally meet face-to-face with the editor I've talked to several times on the phone and who has told me she is pretty much ready to offer me the job ( Read more... )
