The Change (Sequel to The Same as Always)
Title: The Change

Summary: A change happened and he writes...
This is the sequel to a previous drabble - The Same as Always
But then on one day, when the sun stayed up a little longer, a change happened.
A small change that caused a big occurrence and I wish to remember it well.
They took us both but they took us both separately.
I got asked many questions and it all passed again like a blur.
I remember it was a different blur that time, as it had a hint of freedom.
I remember on that day, when the sky darkened, tears streamed down my face.
I hadn’t let tears escape my eyes for a long time and I felt free.
Since on that day, I wasn’t stuck in my bedroom as the sun departed.
That man was put behind bars and I was put in a house where despair cloaked the air, covering false hope left behind.
In this house, I started a new mundane routine.
I let them speak to me but the words flew past again and disappeared into the air.
The others just continued to face forward with dark eyes that went past me.
I realised I would also see the same dark eyes whenever I looked in the mirror.
I would also find myself waking up every night.
I would be shaking, the ghost of my dream still hanging over me.
Then I would make my way to the bathroom and sink once again.
This became a part of my new routine.
I never got to sit back at that place, where I was able to see the specks of chalk in the air when the sun shone through the window.
I never had to show that smile, which would actually hurt.
I just never went back.
I never went back at all.
A/N: So this is the second part to The Same as Always and which hopefully will make things much more clear (though it seems many did understand the first piece)
