Dogs are smarter than cats. The idea that my dog KNOWS he is not allowed in the basement is pretty amazing in itself. He won't come downstairs more than three steps, because that is what he knows we allow him. But what amazes me, is their unerstanding of human gesture and emotion. The lunchroom dynamic is an interesting one. It's essentially racially segregated, with a few stragglers who will sit with anyone. Curtis is like that, so am I.
