Fallout three, the real good ending....

Many people consider Fallout Three’s ending (I among them) to be a the equivalent to a kick to the nuts from someone wearing steel toed shoes.

Well as my free gift to Bethesda for an otherwise very good game, here’s my version of the ending which would have made so MUCH MORE SENSE!

Don't click here if you can't take the spoliers captain! )

I just beat it, with the increased level cap mod, and a mod that lets you play past the credits, so it wasn't so bad.

I'm not saying that there aren't mods that let us deal with this particular problem, I'm just saying that the fact that you had to die from radiation when you had Fawks right there who had already done one walk through a heavily irradiated area for you, smacks of being HORRIBLY RAILROADING!

Also it would have been nice to have some real colsure with Cornel Autum, you know just a dilogue option that said "This is for my father!" before you turn him into Swiss cheese.

We'll talk more when we're home, but serriously you have to wonder what was going on in Bethesda's heads when they though this was a good ending. Also I dislike the fact that the ending didn't go into any real depth about the results of your actions just a cute little slide show.

Still a fun game, just I literally could have written a better ending!

I dunno, actually i think the ending is the 4th thing i'd fix, after the lack of sexual content, the fast travel system, and the level cap

I'd fix those problems in order encountered I guess, so up sexual content (though they could not have done that due to the fear of getting blasted for GTA whatever reasons, which is probably why you can't kill kids in this one) then you need to fix the level cap, then the ending.

That said what's wrong with the fast travel system? I found myself using it a lot because it's irritating to get from somewhere back to Megaton where my house was which is the downside of not being able to regain my health for free just by standing around waiting for my wounds to heal or to unload all my latest loot...
