On average, from concept to end, how long does it take for you to complete each work?

depends on size, but I can output a 22x30in in about 2-3 days. I've done a 4x4 ft canvas in 5 days before but that was doing two 24hour days, it was a very crazy experience and i will likely never do that to myself again.

the blocking in of colour in the background depends on if I'm following a map or not, it takes a little longer if I'm tied to physical geography, the major landmarks and roads often get put in next, roughed in and then I work of the colours of the architecural vernacualr as sen from street level. I'f you'be been to Rio, you'd know the distinct boardwalks there made of tiles whic will be visable in an upcoming commission.

hope that answers your questions.

any ideas on waterways that might look good in this style?

So many possibilities. I'm leaning toward upper Biscayne Bay near Miami, with its causeways & many manmade & not-so manmade islands, but then again I'm biased because that's where I'm from. Tampa Bay would be interesting as well.

Also:
*Venice, Italy
*Vancouver, BC
*Lake Washington (Seattle area)
*Washington, DC
*Boston, MA
*The Oresund bridge & strait (between Denmark & Sweden)
*Monte Carlo, Monaco
*Perth, Australia
*Hong Kong
*Osaka
*Amsterdam
*Auckland
*St. Petersburg, Russia
*Downtown Chicago

...just to name a few

Why am I thinking of a certain fish named Dory? P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way!
