My physics teacher used to do that in high school. He was one of those crazy, old dudes who taught college, but also taught a class of Physics II for us. One class went spent the whole hour talking about vacuums. Not like devoid of air vacuum, like Hoover Dust Buster vacuums. Telling us about motor speeds and all kinds of crazy vacuum related science. Lesson on transistors? That will have to wait.
