I really do kind of adore Travis in real life (he's 6"5 and still manages to be adoreable, which is just impressive), so I'm happy for an excuse to write him. And I'm glad you enjoyed the bits with Pete and Andy too. They were vicious, but it's often harder to be rational about people hurting your friends than just hurting you.

This is fabulous. You've totally captured the sheer awkwardness of that kind of friendship/relationship tangle, where everyone knows everyone else's business and there's no way to escape the mistakes your younger self made. (I was cringing in sympathy at several points.) I really dug the friendship between Bill and Travis as well. And the pining and UST between Bill and Patrick! You totally sold me on them as a pairing.

Yeah, there are distinct disadvantages in getting involved with someone you actually know, even more so if they're actually in your social network. Also, "It seemed like a good idea at the time" isn't actually much protection (especially if what you actually mean is, "I knew it was a bad idea, but I did it anyway.")

I really liked this. I'm so used to fics where William is just kinda swanning around, slutty and silly, and this was an awesome change. While you still kept in parts of that William, yours was serious as well, and I really liked that. So uh, \o/

Thank you! It was interesting, writing a long fic from Bill's point of view, especially when it was bouncing around era like that.
