I'm pretty happy with the way that things turned out in the book. The way that Snape reacted when Dumbledore said that he needed Snape to kill him was great. I forgot to mention that part in my comments about the book last night. I dunno if I believe that he really didn't actually start to care for Harry in the end. Maybe he did. He never really was nice to anyone, and maybe that was to keep his distance as a Deatheater and as a Spy. It would be safer if no one cared for him, or he for them, and could be used as leverage against him. But that's just me. I like to look at Snape as a different sort of man than just a mean git. There was always a reason for his actions, so maybe there was more than a few reasons at the end of things.

You know, I bet that's what he did. He didn't give away a big reaction when the Muggle Studies professor was killed in chapter one, even though they had probably seen each other daily for years.

We need more step dad Snape stories. And more Severitus. Hopefully DH will give them to us.

I didn't even notice how fandom that whole Snape and Lily thing was until you mentioned it. I mean I've read *so* many fics like that, that I just take for granted that Snape could like Lily. I guess there really weren't that many surprises in the book. Didn't we all know that Snape was good and that he was only acting on Dumbledore's orders? And didn't we all know that Harry was a horocrux? I did really like the ending though and how the fandom is still open for all of us to play in. Luna rocks. She's one of my favorite characters now after reading DH and the OotP move.

Yup, I think there will be LOTS more playing in the fandom now. :) And maybe people who weren't into fanfiction before, will be once they start looking around for the next Harry Potter book and realize that there won't be one.

We knew about Snape, but I wasn't sure about Harry. I didn't know if she'd go that far into what seemed so... not cliche, but something fandom suggested but that a lot of people went "nah, that's not her", probably because it meant that Harry had to die, and having the main character die in a children's book is pretty sad.

Yay for Luna! I want to see her bedroom ceiling. She seemed to have a beautiful room. I just kept wondering where her father's room was.

hehe. Yay!!! I agree, I like how she left it open for us to playyyyyyy. what fun we can have! Yeah I was sure he sent the doe. and I shouted when I was right. (luckily I was in my room or else my dad and borther would have made comments. *rolls eyes*) And I think this is my fav. book. I like it b/c it's not like the others it had more humor and of course action. :) all in all i'm happy about it too.

:)

You know, everyone says that it had more humor, but I didn't see it. A couple of jokes from the twins had me grimacing, not laughing. :P Ron was sarcastic and that was humorous, but that seemed like it.
