I'm having a hard time writing my next "serious" blog essay. I have an outline, and I could easily do it right now - it is only 8:45, and yet I really am just not feelin' it. Probably just lazy.

Will and I are taking Tango lessons again. We'd been talking about it forever. Hopefully we'll be pretty good in time for my brother's wedding in January, and we can do more than bob and sway on the dance floor.

So I'm all about autumn right now. Dude, check out my mums!

I'm showing at a brewery and a church at the same time.

Why am I suddenly reminded of the Simpson's Movie?

Then I'm showing at Philadelphia's City Hall again for "The Green Exhibition" starting the end of October, and it'll be up for 3 months.

Okay, it took me a bit over a week, but I finally posted my next blog entry: Read to your kids about gay penguins for Banned Book Week.

Also, I saw Bill Maher's "Religulous" last night and it was awesome. Even though he basically says all the stuff Dawkins and Harris say, he somehow makes it more palatable. Funny is key. Emphasizing doubt instead ( Read more... )

I credit Google for reminding me that today is the Autumn Equinox (if you search on Goggle today the letters in "Google" are autumn colors and the second "g" is formed with leaves.)

There is one other artist in residence here - Emily Flake, author of Lulu Eightball (a comic strips which runs in alternative weekly City Papers.) She's pretty cool and we have a good time chatting and sipping wine in the evenings.

Tomorrow I'm teaching a printmaking workshop to kids at the Hopewell Museum in Paris, Kentucky.

Viva Mural Arts!

Yes, kiddies, the Mural Arts Advocates anti-truancy program ArtWorks! has  managed to replace our sites lost to the city's cuts to center-based programs that we used to serve. I don't know yet where I'll be teaching, but I got the word that my beloved part time job still exists - woo hoo!
