After Dave's dad left earlier this week, I decided to look into this old New England family of Dave's. It took some doing, but I traced it back. Turns out he has lots of Tuckers in his family! I can't figure out if they're in any way related to our Tuckers....but I did find out that he also has Angells in his family. And so does my dad! And soon ( Read more... )

did the internet lead you to all this? because that's just crazy. i don't even know where to begin tracing down my ancestors! well, besides from my own family and possibly tracing down dead names on tombstones (living family members are sometimes listed by rank) ^_^

Yeah, a good resource is actually the Mormon church website, they have tons of genealogy stuff up, 'cause it's really important to them. Probably why I'm having such a hard time finding those non-Mormon Tuckers!

surprisingly the japanese have a hard time tracking geneology. damn them and their pride and when they run away from shit you never get the full story :(

if ever some day you find yourself bored...try to search shigenaga. there is another family on hawaii with the same last name, but claim they are unrelated. i say they lie. i have no luck, but maybe you'll fair better than i.

Yes easier...my mom has her side pretty much figured out (thanks again, Mormons!)
But the Japanese side of my family tree is so empty... :(
