Things that I have been doing.

I had a very productive weekend. Rick and I got our deposit back from our old landlord, and we've bought a bed and a mattress and a guitar. We have enough left for a pair of boots for me and an airsoft gun for johnciall, so we're happy out ( Read more... )

When I drop to Rit 1 I'll either take ambidex back or take power, not sure which.

Thank you for letting me know about Romana's name. Luckily, it's at an early enough stage that it's no biggie to rethink that! :)

Heh, yeah, I miss Ambi a lot. I might actually draw my sword occasionally if I had it back!

Getting the deposit back is such a nice feeling, isn't it?

Good luck with Grimm. I've heard some good things and I love the concept.

It's a great feeling, especially when we'd been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for the last month! :)

I am so full of keen for Grimm. I'm sure I'll babble about it here or on Facebook once we've given it a go!

Awesome. I know that feeling, as well. I've got the new Dresden Files rpg, and wow, I haven't been so psyched about a new game in a loooong time.

Hugs. Ritualists tend to burn out very quickly in the Lions - we rely very heavily on them, yet few people are willing to put much towards them. Don't worry too much about 'writing' rituals, just have a loose structure and let the experienced contributors run with it to pad it out.

It's more for me I want something written; if I don't have something fairly solid in my head I'm quite likely to forget what I'm doing and bollocks everything up, especially timing-wise.

I've never seen any of your rituals, but everyone who's ever said anything has said they're really good and you're a really good ritualist, so you're obviously "getting" something.

It is a shame ritualists burn out so quickly in the Lions. We really need dedicated ritual groups, like many other factions have (DoB, Faculty etc), but we've just never had them.

I've had a huge amount of help with rituals; I've never really managed to come up with a workable idea for one myself, for instance, and of the two rituals I've done one was completely messed up timing wise. I'm at a loss to think what I've done that's actually good, and when I ask people they basically tell me it's because I've got decent scores so far and not been abberanted, which isn't the same, OOC at least, as being good.

It is one of the reasons I statted Ailish for one ritual per weekend, I didn't want to be at the mercy of rituals constantly. The lack of people willing to help out is also why I used my 'Thanks for being an NPC' OSP alotment boosting her to where she just needs a potion and one contributor if it comes right down to it...

Oops I'll add the note that yes she does really exist, people have met her... really they have... I might make it to events again someday if I ever manage to get out of the arse end of Germany to somewhere it's easier to travel from... -end whinge...

Wasn't she at Winter Parli briefly? And yes, living somewhere event-friendly would be much better!
