The DVD problem might be the lead to the TV??? It happened to us before - if you have a spare scart lead you could try swapping them.

Argh - I've done that with Hama beads!!!!! Nightmare!!

Is your heating back working yet??

I tried swapping the scart lead already. No joy obviously. To be honest the DVD itself is annoying me as it has a tendency to freeze the picture and sort of fast forward itself so by the time you hit the rewind button you have to back ages to find where you were... and hitting the button isn't easy because the remote always has to be held 'just so' for it to work. The damn things are so cheap now I'm just gonna get a new one... and hope for a new lead with it just in case ;)

Nope. No heating. No phone call. Just as soon as I've hoovered (which may be sometime today *g*) I'll be ringing the builder again.
