So, I've spent the last few days working at a homeless shelter. This is a women's only shelter, part of a larger group of shelters organised by redacted. In other words, every woman here has chosen to be away from men for whatever reason. These reasons include experiences with domestic violence and sexual abuse.

This probably sounds like something you've already come up with, but I might as well ask you anyway. Do you know of any female DJs you can book for future events at the shelter? Cast about to see if any female DJs exist in town, and ask them for prices for bookings. Next to that, ask around to see if any gay DJs can do bookings. Good luck.

The DJ was a volunteer, as I mentioned near the end. He wasn't paid. There is no budget to hire a DJ.
