Crackplotted once again (open)

Richard hasn't yet noticed that he's crackplotted. There's nothing, in fact, to indicate it to him yet except for the nagging feeling that he's forgotten something.

He's not yet realized that he's forgotten more or less everything.

And so he's currently heading towards the kitchen, to fix himself a snack.

"Richard!" Ada will come hurrying down the hall towards him, quite cheerfully, but perhaps not entirely decorously.

He looks up, and blinks. "...were you addressing me, miss?" a bit mystified.

[dearcousin]

Ada starts. "Yes, I was, but I-- forgive me."

[jarndyceheir]

"Not at all. I mean... I did not mean to be rude, it's just... Richard? Is that my name?" He looks rather disturbed at having to ask.

Tom is already in the kitchen trying to make a sandwich. "Hello, Rick." He doesn't even bother looking up that much.

[jarndyceheir]

He looks about to see if the man is addressing someone else, possibly. Then he says "Rick?" quietly, almost to himself, as if testing it out.

"Yes. Do you not like me calling you that anymore? I can stop."

[jarndyceheir]

"...this is terribly embarrassing, but I'm afraid I don't recall. Is Rick my name, then?"

[modestnature]

Fanny is in the kitchen with tea. When Richard enters she stands up. "Oh! I am so sorry, Mr Carstone. I should have -- but I did not know. . ." She turns red. ". . . good day, sir."

She means to apologize for not seeking him out earlier (which is of course all her typist's fault).

"I... good day, madam. I'm horrified to say I don't recall who you are, at present."

[modestnature]

". . . oh. Well. I am Fanny Price, and I do not blame you for forgetting me."

[jarndyceheir]

"No, pray don't think... that is to say, I think I've forgotten most everything, not simply you."
