This much I know: Somebody somewhere right now is making a joke or a reference at the expense of C. Thomas Howell. They'll point out the obviousness of the downward spiral of his career trajectory, or they'll make light of certain entries in his filmography (namely, Soul Man) and laugh and laugh and laugh. At what, I'm not sure. It stands to ( Read more... )

I won't tell her if you won't. Lesbians are vicious.

Tell me about it. You don't know vicious until you've been kicked in the shin by a steel-toed boot at an Indigo Girls concert. I was sobbing all the way through "Closer to Fine". More than usual, that is.

Amy has gills. No one has seen Soul Man, you're making an ass of yourself!

I have a feeling Bop Magazine is going to come a-knockin' on my good looks and charm any day now, do you have any tips on filling out questionnaires father dearest?

Well I'd lie about that Canadian thing, for one. Ever see Michael J. in a Bop? Didn't think so. Also you might want to ditch the curly-haired sidekick. The readers need to imagine a scenario wherein they are the ones on your arm. Tell you what, we'll talk about it at work. I'll take all the issues with me on the cover off my dressing room wall and we can study them together.

I thought you'd never get here, save me.

Save you from what, Will? If only. That boy is like kryptonite to me.

Ugh, kryptonite, now I have that Three Doors Down song stuck in my head. That's cruel and unusual punishment.

I was thinking more along the lines of Spin Doctors, which is slightly less cruel and unusual but you have bested me yet again, Amy Poehler.

Everybody got to you before I did, so it's a safe bet that they've all already told you how wonderful, amazing and beautiful you are and how great it is that you're finally here. I'll second all of that and add that I'm thrilled to see you, so thrilled that I'll even overlook you telling Michael he should dump me.

You misunderstand. By "curly-haired sidekick" I mean that poodle that he always has tagging along with him. It's just not very masculine, not that masculinity and Michael will ever go hand in hand.

He's more masculine than you give him credit for. The last time we watched Steel Magnolias he at least pretended not to cry.
