Although I appreciate the comments that John Edwards made in this article, I think he will find it hard to garner support from Christian conservatives given his track record on abortion. I think that Jesus would also find it "appalling" that we have allowed over 48.5 MILLION abortions in this ( Read more... )

Honestly, I had never thought to compare these numbers until today, and I was also surprised.

While I am not a huge war supporter at this point, I do find it interesting that many anti-war activists talk about "bringing our kids home" so that they are not in harm's way over nothing. Many of these same people actively support the right to murder an innocent child in utero. At least the members of the armed forces are grown men and women who chose to enter military service, which obviously carries a certain measure of risk. Unborn babies don't have the luxury of choosing their risk.
