So after waiting for 7 months I finally got the wood floors finished.

I had to crash at my mom's house all last week since the job rendered the whole house uninhabitable. That part was tough but it was ultimately worth it in the end..

Well, rugs will be going down and I had the guy put down 3 coats of finish. :)

You'll have to fill me in on the details. We just bought a house and it's clear the wood floors on the main floor need to be refinished within the next two years.

Definitely pay someone to do it. That was the advice I got from several people and I am with them after seeing what is involved. The sanding isn't so bad, but you do only get one chance to get it right. The really bad part is the sealer/Swedish finish. That stuff puts the t in toxic.

Beautiful! You should post another set of pictures when you have it all furnished and decorated again. Before, after, and totally decked out. It'd be like your own mini interior design magazine.
