An interesting and insightful observation

I remember watching a preview for a movie a couple weeks ago, I forget the name, where this this wife falls in love with her best friend. They had all these shots of longing glances between the would be lesbian lovers, all the while portraying the husband as some kind of ball and chain keeping them from their heart's desires. The whole time I was watching it I was more then a little disgusted that I was obviously supposed to be feeling sympathy for this woman who wants to have an adulterous lesbian affair, and apparently we're supposed to root for a divorce or something equally asinine.
