The TTC went on strike today.  This means I’ll be missing my Sunday cello lesson AGAIN!  I haven’t even had one lesson yet.  This is what you get when you pursue the arts-a life of hardship and struggle.  You also get to specialize in mock cynicism and faux jadedness.

I hung up the phone with you and brushed my teeth. I washed my face. I put on my pajamas and my favourite grapefruit-scented hand creme that makes me feel special in the most consumer-whore way.  But I don’t feel any better.

I will not sleep until I get this out.

My beautiful soon-to-be-auburn beauties (Read: Stella and Viktoria) made dee-liteful lists of the best looking male celebrities of this moment.  I loved their lists.  Lots of attractive young men.  Yummy.

A decent fellow from the east side of Steeles Ave. expressed that he could listen to the voice of Jack Kerouac all day.  He then pressed ‘play again’ on the small youtube window and we both listened again.  A man in front of a piano plays a wistful tune as Jack reads his excerpt from On The Road.  The fellow is right, but I like the sound of ( Read more... )

I had to go to the Doctor’s and get a shot today.  I didn’t really want to go.  I knew I needed to go though; it’s a necessary evil.  It’s a strange feeling, forcing your body to go do something it really doesn’t want to do.  You know that immunization is beneficial in the long run, and that’s enough to convince your brain to make the small ( Read more... )

I had a mid term yeterday morning for my British history class. Why is it that falling always happens in slow motion?  It’s as if quantum physics causes the world to slow, or your body to fall softly through space and time.  The rain droplets that are falling towards the wet cement are not blurs in your vision, but clear droplets surrounding you on the way to the ground…
