New year begins.. not so good...

Ok, my first new years with a bf in 4 years and it totally sucked. John decides to get drunk and stoned and M.I.A. for most of the evening. I didn't care too much since I was preoccupied with other friends, doing my own thing. BUT 1 minute till the ball drops is when he makes his appearance and gets distracted till 2 minutes AFTER the ball drops.

I know I don't comment a lot, but I always read your entries. I have to say that I am SO PROUD of you for standing up for yourself and who you are. If he doesn't respect that or asks you to change, then he's not the guy for you.

Every time I see your commercials on tv I'm all like "I know her!!" and I get excited. I like knowing talented people. :-)

So, keep on kicking ass and call me sometime! I lost all the #s in my phone which totally sucks...but my bf is now in Arkansas, so I have lots of time to fill! I'm playing Parade at CAP, but that's about it.

I just have to say kudos to you for sticking your ground and not being willing to compromise who you are for anyone! I feel like so many people are desperate to be in serious relationships that they become almost a shell of their former self. I was like that for a while too... always yielding to my boyfriend so he could do what HE wanted. It's so not worth it if all it leads to is unhappiness. Good luck to you!

Thanks... although it's tough to stick through. The relationship seems to just get better and better and this could ruin it which is odd. Me pursuing my career that I've been going for for years, can ruin the relationship that I've been wanting. I've been nervous about telling John about this because of his reactions. I don't think he'd dump me but the thought just sucks. Eh, if it's meant to be, he'd support me right?
