Though I don't know you...I just wanted to say that I am impressed. I have shown support for gay rights as well...and am always asked if I am homosexual. It seems that it is rare for anyone to protest something that is not in their own interest. Go you...

hee - I was at the protest in Chicago and was being interviewed for a gay-targeted website and it was amusing to see the interviewer realize mid-interview that I was straight!

I'll write more in detail later, but a couple of websites interviewed me when they overhears me say I was a 42 year old straight woman at her first protest. But I was able to say (and I hope they keep that part) that I knew people who were marching in NYC and Seattle and Springfield IL and Columbia SC and Dayton OH!

Towards the end Steph and I pressed hot coco on people and shared names and hugs.

I wonder if you two ended up meeting Cari and Amity, who Caroline and I know from Drinking Liberally and that Brian and Bernie have met when they came to DL.

And from your description, I wish I could have seen this, but Caroline and I were in Baltimore for the Devival, which had been organized months before this protest had.
