For the last three or four days or so I have woken up from dreams that I forget within a few seconds. I find my grip on reality to be slightly akimbo whenever this happens. When I was a girl, I had a dream that my brother was a really bad guy. Really bad. He did all sorts of mean things in my dream, but I couldn't remember what they were when I woke up. Just that they were bad. Really bad.

It took me weeks to get over (in real life). I didn't like him for a long time, and I couldn't pinpoint why until I had a flashback to the dream (not a flashback of the dream itself, just a flashback to the feeling of just waking up after having the dream in a semi-unconscious state...).

i never take legitimate sick days. when i'm sick, it just never feels bad enough to stay home from work. i'd rather be sick at work, disregarding my coworker's health, than moping around my home squandering a sick day ( ... )

I sometimes wish I had a job so I could take sick days. Especially when I'm actually sick and I actually have to work. I encourage Lisa to take sick days all the time, probably in a sense of vicariousness. She rarely does, though. She's a real trooper.
