I'm still keeping up with my program.  I'm just too lazy to post about it here.

Aw, now I'm the only one posting boring posts about it. But I get you, it's only so much repeating you can do... I got exhausted typing out my little thing last night, but I'll blame it on double workout sessions.

But post more about other things, I miss hearing about what you're up to!

Pretty well, on and off. My net loss is still 16 pounds. I've been fluctuating with my commitment to keeping active, especially after I completed a marathon last month. I just came home from that and didn't move for weeks! I have found a new routine to entertain myself and keep me moving, and my body hurts all over, but the pain motivates me. Also, my rippling muscles motivate me. My arms are very well-defined these days.

Struggling Against Weight Gain lloydbaker February 6 2011, 08:50:09 UTC
Struggling to maintain or lose weight is no fun for me either. . . and you are a gormet cook? Is that your occasion of sin?

My problem is that I'm a heating and cooling serviceman. My reward during the day is stopping in between calls for breakfast, donuts, sandwiches, cookies, etc. . .

I was real successful with the Atkins diet years ago, but it was too expensive and boring to maintain.

Why aren't donuts boring me?

Fried sugar is never boring, no matter what. It's a problem.

Diet Not Exercise! lloydbaker February 7 2011, 04:27:42 UTC
Though exercise is all to the good, it thing studies show it is impossible to burn significant calories unless you are a lumber jack or something similar.

This seems to correspond with my experience as well. I found I just gotta stop eating, but can't without tremendous effort.

That hasn't been my experience. I have found that as long as I work out at least 5 times a week, I can eat whatever I feel like, and still lose at least two pounds a week. I do watch what I eat though, because I am diabetic. I find that when I remin active, my weight is very easy to control and maintain. Too many dietary restrictions just lead me into binges.
