Update on McDonalds

Oct 12, 2008 16:03

I received a very polite and prompt reply from McDonalds. In fact, it was quite a bit more polite than the letter I sent to them. I'm sure it's the same form letter they send to everybody who complains on our side of the issue, but that doesn't bother me. ( Read it here )

Yep, it's the the same form letter. I stay by my original plan to tell McDonald's to screw off.

I feel that way too, mostly - but then this almost gives credibility to the AFA.

Eh... I rarely eat there anyway. I think we have bigger problems to face in the world today.

I don't think it legitimizes the AFA at all to call for a boycott of McDonald's--I think it's very key to show that there's a lot more of us than them. Remember, the AFA is the organization who's idea of "letter writing campaigns" involve a computerized fax machine sending the same message repeatedly to whomever they're boycotting at the time.

Ah... with a random name generator for the signature, like some of the spams I get?

Or are they not that smart?

Ah, screw McDonald's. I didn't eat there unless I was absolutely desperate anyway, because their food sucks and is toxic. This is just another reason not to eat there.

Yeah, me too. I guess it's easy to boycott something you're not buying anyway. I can't say that I ran out and started eating there when the AFA first announced their ridiculous boycott.

I think there are bigger issues to face in the world today.
