SO...what do YOU think?

OK, thinking about next composition, I should probably write a piano piece, that would be a good thing to do. I was thinking about doing musical impressions of different countries/cultures, something like that. Then it hit me ( Read more... )

Ditto to Wenschel.

If you want to wait until, like, halfway through fall term, I could give advice on a Celtic-ish inspired piece. I'm taking a Celtic music class. If you don't want to wait, well, asian music follows some sort of scale that might be neat to try working with.

awesomeness on the celtic class, I'd totally love to hear what you have to say about that (and it's not like I can't change/add to my piece later if I manage to get it done, which would be unlikely in any case).

And that scale, it's pentatonic. =) but that gives me another idea...I should figure out the gamlaen (sp) scale...
