New TV
So my TV went silently into the good night Wednesday evening.
Today I bought a monstrosity, a 1080p 46" Sony Bravia. It's the size of Connecticut.

I am not a good candidate for LASIK, the shape of my eye is wrong.
Yelling and screaming seem called for, or hitting things.
Three weeks of wind up for this horrendous crashing feeling. -
4th of July Vacation
Went to Denver over the 4th. Was joined there by susangc7. Went to the Barbershop Harmony Association (they changed their name! Yeah!) International Competition.
Also saw Transformers, which was fun, despite being fairly pathetic in the plot department and a bit heavy on the high motion camera shots. I must have some childhood conditioning left over. -
I'm Moved
Nothing quite like watching the substance of your life packed into a truck and unloaded again.
I'm still wiped out, more from the heat (AC does not work well when leaving the door open) than moving anything: Ah, paid help... -

Travel is never easy
Back from DC. Continental lost my luggage in Houston, because this whole trip would have been far to easy otherwise. Apparently the traffic in DC doesn't count when considering travel karma... -
Home Ownership
That was either the easiest closing on record, or they're not as bad as people make them out to be....
I now own a condo, now I just have to move into it. -
Does an agreement constitute rules?
A covenant of right relations has been proposed in my church. It's been toss around for a while now in the back ground and now it's coming forward. One of the senior members of the church commented that setting up something like this was an invitation for an abuse of this as 'rules' (quotes mine). Condo!
I just put in an offer on a condo. It's a bit more commute than I want, but not much, but it's brand new, very secure, and a good, if not perfect layout.
And about $25,000 cheaper than closer places. Ah, location, location, location.
