WOW! TODAY IS OUR DAUGHTER ALEXIS' BIRTHDAY. AND A WEEK AGO WE CELEBRATED OUR 50TH ANNIVERSARY. AND YESTERDAY ED CELEBRATED HIS 50 ANNIVERSARY OF HIS GRADUATION FROM BROWN. I love the little trailer you have for your tractor. I just got into Portland. It's 1 am and I am too wound up from driving to sleep yet. The traffic was lite as ever. I must be the last one with any money for gas. I am watching the financial news from Europe and they are discussing how confusing the economy is right now. I'm sure this will be a big topic at the meetings I have tomorrow too. The world will live through this and things will go on and some people will even make a buck of two off of this turmoil . Nobody has figured out who yet but that will be the next story.

I hope your little part of the world is good. I bet it will be a good year for your grapes. Being out on the land is a good place to be if the larger world spins out of control.
