... holy crap, this is hot. I mean, I just can't get over the incredible sensual detail in which you catalogue all of Ianto's body, his movements, all the little things that draw Jack in. It drew me in just as completely. As I was reading, I was half aching with the tension and wanting something, anything to happen, and yet at the same time I wanted to be able to just pause and revel in the sensual exploration the way Jack could.

And I loved seeing how Jack is undone by Ianto both in spite of himself and because of himself. It almost seemed inevitable, like Jack couldn't be who he is and not fall into Ianto's orbit.

First, excellent icon. Now, I'd like one that showed Jack writing something, and the caption would be "Dear Santa: Please bring a tea-boy."

And thank you! Believe me when I say that I had a highly enjoyable time thinking up moments in which Jack became mesmerized by the most pedantic thing, and my own palms became a little sweaty more than once. Fiona Apple's "Slow Like Honey" was playing in my head the whole time. GUH.

I'm really glad the sexual tension translates for you as hotly as it happens in my head.

Thank you! Your notes were super-helpful, and the modified ending makes for such a better piece. (When I read through it again, I realized how rough a condition it was actually in, so thank you for slogging through it the first time around!)

And I've always had Jack better in my head than Ianto. It must be because we have so much in common, you know?

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!

It's like I died and went to heaven. No, really. I do not regret for one iota of a moment pestering you into this, because the payoff? SO WORTH IT. *this* is hot. The tension growing with every word until I didn't even realize my hands were clenching into fists until I finished reading it.

*happy dance*

Yep, yours is the credit or the blame. After you asked for more, I found myself thinking about it with unexpected frequency. One morning I realized I had stopped for two or three minutes on the top step of my stairway, having drifted off to Jantoland, with my dog was looking at me like I was nuts.

Mm... Jantoland. I want to go there for vacation.

Anyway, the thing that makes me happiest about the piece is that, superficially, it really only requires a PG-13. So I am really excited that the hotness is sufficient to, um, excite you in return.

Thank you again for the support.

I really enjoyed reading this. It's very sensual and you paint a wonderful picture of Jack's seduction of Ianto and Ianto's unintentional seduction of Jack through just being there and clothed as he is. I love that despite knowing better, Jack can't help but want Ianto, and that Ianto is doing this of his own accord, grabbing something for himself and not because he needs to b/c of Lisa.

Although I don't disagree with the theory that Ianto seduced Jack to distract him from Lisa, I feel like we were getting overloaded with that perspective. This is how I prefer to think of it, especially because I really view Jack as being a lot smarter than people give him credit for. If nothing else, he's been around long enough to be able to read people (or so I believe).

Anyway, thanks for your comment. I'm very glad you liked it.

*nods* I think people tend to forget that (1) Jack was a successful conman when we first meet him. (2) He managed to work as a contract agent with TW - a TW that was not kind - for over a hundred years before he took charge of it. All of that to me points to a man who can think on his feet and knows how to read people.

Although I don't disagree with the theory that Ianto seduced Jack to distract him from Lisa, I feel like we were getting overloaded with that perspective. I have mixed feelings on this perspective. I do think Ianto is seriously underestimated because he did manage to con Jack and the others for months while hiding Lisa. Frankly, too much is unknown for me to think one way or the other. I think if Ianto did sleep with Jack it was not just because of Lisa but at least in part for himself. Fraqments pretty clearly set up in my mind that Ianto was attracted to Jack but whether he would actually act on that I'm less certain. It is one reason, in ( ... )
