Well, first, a huge congratulations. And secondly, yes, you will find day care. Its hard. We found one to start off with, had Z there for like 6 months, it was good, but started to deteriorate (not dangerous, just not as stimulating as I thought it could be) and then we moved her. I LOVE where she's at now. You will find it. It may be through a little trial and error, but you will find it, and he will love it. Milo's a social little guy, so is Z, and I swear those kids LOVE day care because its like a whole day of "social time." It will happen, deep breath, what a wonderful new way to start out in your new home!
Claire searched long and hard, and visited many places around us. We ended up with a daycare that could be best described as "gently worn." It's a family-run place up in the Heights and she gets lots of attention. It took a total of two weeks before Eleanor was really comfortable there, but now she tries to rush me out of the house in the morning to get there. Once I dress her, she knows where she's going and wants to LEAVE. congrats on the job! i hate the building but think it's a fab museum collection.
your assessment of "right daycare = right job" is about how i would think of it. spot on.
