Forget that last post.
I can't even get a fucking minimum wage security guard job.

It must say something terrible about our country and our evening, in my opinion, when a decently educated, pleasant, relatively smart, 51 year old man has to take a job for $21,000 as a night shift security guard after all the years he has spent in teaching and business.

And people ask me why I'm not a happy person.

I met Cathy today.

I was talking with Katie at work yesterday and we started talking about the

holidays with my sister gone.

2 months tomorrow.

I am missing her terribly right now. I feel so empty sometimes knowing

she's not going to be on the other end of the phone on Sunday mornings or

some random weeknight, not having her to go home to NY and visit.

Arthur called me wanting to know when I was coming. I told him I'd be there late tonight but he said I should go straight to the hospital
The machines are keeping her alive now
I think im too late, I think I missed her
I think my sister is gone
Im so scared right now

I just spoke with Arthur.
Cathy's respiration is weak but steady.
She is mildly responsive but groggy.
They cannot get her blood pressure up.
They put her on a new machine last night, CRRT, continuous renal replacement therapy.  It's similar to a dialysis machine but less aggressive,  only 1-2 litres out since last night instead of 8 with the other. ( Read more... )

My sister is dying.
My brother had been gone from my life for quite awhile.
My parents died years ago.
does that make me an orphan?
I know it makes me alone.
and sad.
and scared.

Why does he torture me like this? I'm not a bad person.  really,  I'm not.  I don't mistreat him. Why can't he stop doing this to me.

I never should have taken him.  I didn't want a dog and shouldn't have done it. if anything happens to him he's going under,  end of story.
