Students are preparing to audition for regional and state orchestra membership--which in a state this big means major, major competition. I'm not going to rant about how crappy it is that the first event of the year is zero-sum. That's for another day. Oy in Ohio
Larry's mom is in the hospital for a variety pack of congestive heart failure, breathing issues, uncontrolled diabetes, and general malaise. He's been told not to go up yet but I suspect this could be the end for a terribly unhappy woman. I don't know what to think, much less to hope for.

Good news: No mold under tile or in wall. Official Mold Guy says we'll have a certificate within the week.
Bad news: Small termite mound beginning to form in one spot.
Weird news: Dryer vent came loose from the elbow joint to the outtake hose. Wall full of dryer lint.

Shootydad was escorted from the premises following his daughter's performance. A campus officer walked me to my car at the end if the evening. Shootygirl graduates this May so it won't happen again. Yay.

A seventh grade student came into his lesson today with bags under his red eyes. When I asked him what was wrong, he replied: "Obama won. We're going to become communists and our country will go to hell."
His parents kept him up all Tuesday night with this indoctrination. Nice parents that kid has, huh?

We put an offer on this house last night and should know by 4 p.m. if we're the "winners." For those familiar with the area (especially Richardsonian gridlockjoe), it's at Duck Creek near Apollo Junior High/Dartmouth Elementary.
