Disclamer: We own the plot. JE owns Arashi. And now Arashi is going to own my wallet. If I/we did own Arashi, things would be different.
Summary: If things went down hill and dropped you in a place you didn't want to and couldn't handle, how would you live with it. If your family disowned you for the stupidest reason and made it so you were kicked out of school leaving you with only the job the you got thanks to your best friend how would you live? What if the only person that could come close to knowing what you felt was someone you couldn't dare be seen with?
A/n: Long story short...I didn't forget. Got it? Good. Enjoy!
Jun brushed the hair out of his eyes as he walked, ignoring glances and the occasional whisper of recognition as he made his way down the street. He stopped at a modern looking, relatively small building, the name of the small café flashed in yellow lights. “Game Nikki” was easily readable in contrast to the building’s white walls. Jun stepped in, sighing as a refreshing breeze blew past him, caused by the interior’s AC. He walked up to the counter to greet his long-time friend Ninomiya Kazunari, who prefers to be called ‘Nino’. His friend barely looked up before annoying Jun by saying, “What’s up, Princess?”
“Nothing new really.” Jun replied after giving his friend an annoyed glare. Nino finished hand drying a yellow coffee mug before turning to face the younger man, raising an eyebrow after observing Jun for a short while. The action made Jun feel a tad uneasy.
“Oh come on, I can tell you’re thinking hard about something.” Nino said in a slightly irritated tone. Jun was about to deny his friend’s claim, but after seeing the look in the gamers’ eyes, sighed in defeat. “Exactly.” Nino said smugly and retrieved a yellow-tinged glass. “I’ll make you some tea.” He said as he turned around to get the hot water. Jun frowned and was about to argue, but once again taking the words right out of the young man’s mouth, Nino held a hand up as he stopped his stubborn friend’s protest. “I’m not a doctor or anything, but I’m pretty it’s unhealthy to drink as much iced lattes as you do on a daily basis.”
As his friend prepared the hot drink, Jun took a good look at the familiar café. The whole motif of the interior and exterior were revolved around the colors white and yellow. The walls were painted white, as were the tiled floors. The small circular tables had yellow table tops and were paired with white stools with a thin yellow stripe accenting the circumference of the stools. Overall, the café had a modern look and Jun nodded his head in approval as he remembered how he helped design the place before his thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a cup being placed on the counter in front of him.
Jun sighed, took a sip of the tea and began to try to explain some things. “I was complaining about some café’s low grade iced lattes,” The man began before Nino cleared his throat and looked at his friend in a slight scolding manner. “They were nothing compared to yours so I let them know that it tasted like crap.” Jun shrugged as Nino rolled his eyes. “Well then this worker there gets all defensive over his friend or something so I, well I get out of there naturally.” Jun was about to say more, but shut his mouth as he thought back about the incident. “I grabbed my latte and wallet and stormed off…” he muttered to himself. Nino just ignored his friend as he zoned out. He was used to witnessing his friend realize his rash decisions. “Oh crap. I didn’t pay.” Jun stated in realization. Nino just sighed in reply.
“What was the name of this café anyways?” Nino questioned as Jun made a mental note to pay and apologize later. He may be rich and stuck up at times, but that does not give him the right to steal. His reputation would be tarnished.
“I think it was called Believe.” Jun said as his brows furrowed with concentration of remembering the name. Nino gave a look of recognition as he remembered the café’s name.
“Sounds familiar… “Nino pouted as he couldn’t pinpoint where he heard the name. Jun nodded his head in understanding and looked at his Rolex watch with mild surprise.
“Sorry Nino, I have to get going. Need to finish up some business rates and stuff before the meeting.” He said as he got up to leave.
“Hey Princess, don’t forget our gaming rematch at 9 o’clock tomorrow!” The gaming addict called after the younger man. Jun turned around to stick his tongue out at his friend and retorting back.
“Just so I can kick your butt in Super Mario again!!” Nino was about to make a comeback of his own but by then the young heir was out the door. Nino sighed and shook his head with a smile. ‘Jun needed to relax more’ he thought, ‘always acting so stuck up must get tiring.’ Nino frowned as he thought about his childhood friend. Jun never got to live a normal life, what with all the pressure of being part of such an important family. Nino sympathized for a moment before taking out his light blue DS from behind the counter.
‘Well at least he isn’t me.’ He shrugged and began to take on the pesky boss on level 11.
