As You Like It

Today we had tickets to see "As You LIke It" at the ART. It is basically a student production of their advanced theatre training institute, but since the ART always does something interesting with Shakespeare (like it or not) I figured it would at least be worth seeing even if they did something crazy and "advanced." Talk to Theatre@First. Bet after "Never After" and "Shakespeare in the Park" for Davis Square someone there might take a shot...

Almost a generation ago I saw an ART production of "As You Like It" that did Usurper Duke as Darth Vader. There may have been more to the production than that, but that's the only part that has proved memorable.

My wandering eye combined the first two lines momentarily into "As You Like It or Not", which seemed fitting for the ART.

I would happily be a reader - I've had my fill of Jacobean tragedy for now.
