Okay, I finally have a chance to read through this again and omg. You have delivered dark and dirty exactly how I like it. Everyone is broken and they don't get a happy ending but they do find their place with each other.
I am in love with your first description of Jun. And how Jun immediately becomes protective of this poor miserable guy. Sho is shitfaced and miserable and still can't resist Jun's charms.
And Aiba's unwavering friendship with Sho despite everything that has happened. Even if he didn't have mystical time travel powers, I'm sure he made just as much effort to rescue Sho. <3
I also love the instant Sakumiya friendship. Or rather, Nino being Sho's new best friend whether he likes it or not. :D And then Nino's collapse into himself. ;___;
It's definitely not a happy christmas story but you have delivered dark and dirty exactly how I like it. Everyone is broken and they don't get a happy ending but they do find their place with each other. <3
Yay! I'm so glad you liked it. I was thinking many many times "oh this might be TOO MUCH." God, if I'd actually followed the movie I was inspired by, you'd have been furious though. There'd be a lot more murdering and corpse dismemberment and all that good stuff. I gave myself a line I couldn't cross. No character death ;)
The Sakuraiba friendship was actually one of my favorite parts, and it let me keep things from going too crazy. Sho really needed someone to ground him, and I think Aiba filled that role quite well!
And I know you are a big Sakumiya fan and since I ended up leaning Sakumoto, I had to make sure Sho and Nino had a lot of scenes together regardless :)
I'm glad you enjoyed it despite all the dark and dirty hehe
This is an intense story and really intrigued me from beginning till end, you’re a wonderful writer, anon-san. The plot is something like what I’ll see in a movie so I really enjoyed being able to read something so interesting as the story unfolds. Even though this is an AU setting, I thought the characters are developed closely to what we know them as in real life too. I’m glad Sho has a close and dependable friend like Aiba; my heart really breaks for Nino though ;_;
Thank you so much! The whole story was mostly inspired by one of my favorite movies, but I tweaked it so my recipient would not kill me (AKA I took out a lot more dark stuff, this had more than enough!).
I'm glad the characters still worked given how silly Arashi is :)
