A lot of versions for the same video

I'm kinda tired of adding 4621365256 versions of the same performance/pv to the index.
Lately the updates are huge and this is making me procrastinate a lot when I have to update. I don't want to get tired of updating the index because I know it's quite useful and a lot of people need it,and I want it to be up to date, so I need to do something ( Read more... )

Yep, mainly it's a problem with arashi videos...

hi ~

i think adding the 1st 2 versions of a perf and 1st 5 for PVs is already ok. even just the 1st 2 versions of a PV is already good. OR..just put those that were subbed by 'good' subbers that you're already familiar with..just the 1st 2 would do.

to be honest, im one of those who are quite particular with the grammar and even the font/color of the subs.XDD but if there are no options then i can shrug off the minimal errors. i should be thankful enough that somebody even bothered to sub it.

aright, back to your dilemma ~ any decision that you're gonna come up with should be okay. it is your page and your index. having this page is already of great help to all of us and we're more than thankful for the effort that you're putting into it.*bows deeply*

and i think im still gonna go for just 2 versions for both perf and PV ~

The problem is that I don't know who are the good subbers out there bc I don't usually download subbed performances or PVs... So I wouldn't know who to add...

Maybe you can tell me since you're "peculiar" about the grammar and colors etc lol because I wouldn't notice that (I'm not great at english or japanese so...)

Oh well... idk what i'll do...

hmm..actually for perf and PV..i prefer the not-subbed version than the subbed. unless the PV has 'the making' part or the perf has the talk part. and i usually download those from newshfan but of course we all know what happened so i really dunno who's really good apart from her ~ but i can dig my files..i know i have a few that were subbed by others (group or individual). ill prompt u then ~ <3

if that won't come out too helpful then the best suggestion would be to just put the 1st 2 versions. XDDDD that sounds easier to me..for u.

No, it was, it was a good suggestion, I thought about it, but I don't know who are the good subbers so I couldn't do it like that. I was waiting maybe for somebody to enlight me bc i have no idea.

i'm one of je index regular visitor and i also notice about a lot of version of subbed videos. I think it's ok to make preference. For PV's max 3 version is ok. 2 for locked and 1 slot for open. for making and performance, i think 3 will be ok, two locked, one open. The problem will lies in quality of the sub and files. but i think unless u makes some preference list for subber, you just have to take the fastest subber.
well, sorry it's not helping much.. and i truly hope you will find the best solution for the index

Yeah the thing is that I can't make a preference list for subbers bc I don't know which one is better, I don't usually download subbed perf, I just search for a translation if I need it. So... yeah, the faster it is I guess...

I don't think you have add all the individual work of the performances
I prefer RAW for PVs and performances, but I do DL the subbed version if it's from major fansubbing groups

And maybe subbers could let you know they want be on the list if they're not.
This is a good idea since some subbers might want to keep themselves hidden off the radar.

Ummm yeah, the poll thing might be extra work, and as I am right now, (extremely busy) I don't think I can't do that. I really don't feel confortable choosing by myself between subbers, so the faster subs will have to work bc I don't see any other solution right now.
Till now I haven't recieved any comments from subbers (of perfs & Pvs) that didn't wanted to be in the index so I guess that's ok.
Anyway, I think I'll make a new post about this thing soon, I'm not very clear about what will I do but I have to do something
