Wow, its been a long time. Sadly, I don't have much to say these days. I guess all I had to talk about was Smallville, and I don't have that much more to say about that

Hello there V. I haven't been on here in a long time but I was thinking about Smallville a few days ago so I wanted to see what was shaking on your lj. Not that your lj is literally shaking...well, you get the idea. I haven't been able to go back and watch Smallville again. I think I'm close to doing it and maybe once the baseball season is over I'll do it. But as you said, I'm probably a season 1-5 kind of guy as well. I'd watch seasons 6 and 7, but the show started to go downhill at that point. I guess for me, I'll always respect seasons 1-7 because I have a lot of respect for Gough and Millar. They created the show that I used to love so much, not the pathetic showrunners that took over for them. I'll never change my mind about that and as a result, I'll always love the good and bad from the first 7 seasons

Nothing beats the first five seasons of SV for me..all the characters were still in character likable or not (mostly) and that to me matters the most.
I'm watching GoT now slowly (I don't see any reason to rush) and it's pretty great. For summer Breaking Bad is great (until fall and Mad Men)
I know it's over..but can't recommend Friday Night Lights enough if you're looking for a new show soon. For new fall stuff it's New Girl and Hart of Dixie for me.
My summer (since you asked ;) ) filled with weddings..and Harry Potter. I haven't seen any of the Marvel movies but I need to see Captain, and Thor for their Avengers ties...
Its hard to put ones finger on it exactly, but there's a quality and cohesiveness to the first 5 seasons of SV that simply erodes from S6-on. I often think that the loss of the Kent family as a unit was one of the big problems with the decline of the show overall.
GoT is great! So very happy with how the season built as it went along. I've never had much interest in Breaking Bad. I'm not really a big fan of the anti-hero as central character in my TV shows.
I can't take Hart of Dixie seriously. Rachel Bilson looks about 18 years old, and I'm supposed to buy her as a doctor?
