I feel that way about pet food products. It's the same deal. Just because it SAYS it's green doesn't mean it is, and just because the pet food SAYS it's natural, nutritious, healthy, etc doesn't mean that IT is.

Dang unregulated markets.

Our main green choices involve the low watt light bulbs, buying organic, grass-fed beef from farm markets when we can, and recycled paper towels.

Yeah. I hope some day there will be more regulation so that we'll be able to trust labels more.

I've heard that grass-fed beef is much more nutritious. Do you find it easier to find organic and grass-fed stuff there?

I don't think it's any more nutritious, but it means the cows need to have access to free pature, instead of being kept in pens in pools of their own feces, and also corn fed beef tend to get a kind of ecoli in their rumens, because of the lack of fibre, and these e.coli are what is getting into burgers and killing small children at fast food outlets.
