Why can I never seem to be able to join any supercool group of authors that are always so supportive of each other and dedicating fics here and there? ):

*hugs for anon* I know the feeling. I was sort of on the edge of a group of friends like that for years, always watching them writing for each other and plotting fic together. I did eventually find my own little group, but only through making friends with people I was more compatible with so we all sparked similar ideas with each other and gifted our similar interests.
tl;dr you need a good group of friends, not a good group of authors!

Same :( I always envy those groups I catch a glimpse of and think, "am I doing something wrong?". Maybe I'm not social enough, that's possible too. But I know how you feel :(

Anything by haikuesque would be considered a must-read, but I have to say they're not my favourite.
I've just found out through looking for a link that one of my favourite authors has deleted her fics *sadface*
