OK, so last year at DragonCon I lusted after the steampunk stuff and told myself I'd get something together for this year's con.

Then I forgot.

Seven weeks before the con, I've remembered.

What I was aiming for is something that's kinda Amelia Earhart meets Jules Verne or HG Wells. Any ideas about how to go about that? I found the Ladies'

I have been told that thrift stores for the clothing are useful.

And cheap piping from home depot and brassy/gold spraypaint will allow you to make the steam effects.

you can also look around on etsy - they have a LOT of steampunk stuff and a lot of it is really reasonable in price
