If it's any consolation, I didn't even make it to 7000 words. The pressure of prepping for a ton of holiday travel, running a sale in my jewelry shop AND agreeing to host Thanksgiving at our new place all took time away from what little free time there was left to write. Hell, I've barely even posted on LJ this last month, so writing a book (or at least a book anywhere close to what I was hoping to write) wasn't going to happen.
