Well, maybe if we're lucky it'll be brought up again half a season later (LOL), like the whole Finn-Kurt-Burt debacle in "Theatricality" / "Duets". But I kind of feel like that only happened because fandom EXPLODED, so unless this gets a similar reaction, I'm not holding my breath either. ;)
I swear, half the time I'm ready to give up on this show; then the other half (like the Valentine's episode) reminds me why I continue to watch. Oh, Glee.
EXACTLY. I tend to dislike Ian's episodes so it's usually every three episodes I go "what the actual fuck". I know the show thrives on drama, but I just really want all the characters to hang out and be bros. (I loved the drunk!New Directions scene.)
(Also! Belated hello! I added you a couple of days ago because I realized I've been following you on twitter on tumblr and we seem to have some mutual friends in the Glee fandom. :D)
I've noticed they're having Ian and Ryan write more episodes - Brad (who is the best of the three IMO) is suspiciously MIA. GLEE, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? D:
(Hello to you as well! I recognized you from Tumblr/Twitter - I'm always in favor of making new fandom friends! :D)
I just watched it and I have lots of ~feelings. I was actually okay with everything about the conversation at the coffee shop- everyone on this show is a selfish, naive asshole because LOL teenagers and I'm totally cool with them acting that way. I just can't stand that it went completely unresolved.
The "yup, I'm gay" was exactly what I was expecting and yet it still made me rage. Like... what was the fucking point? And are we ever going to call Kurt out on his asshole behavior? Please?
I just... yeah, I sense an epic post coming, even though I honestly wasn't as offended as I was expecting to be by this storyline.
Yeah, I agree. It was totally a valid choice and, unfortunately, rather IC for Kurt to act that way; it was just that nobody called him on it! Blaine started to and then delved into comparing him to Karofsky, which was just... ergh.
But don't you know, Kurt is a special flower who can do no wrong! According to RM, anyways. :P
My favorite moment - "That's like the pot calling the kettle black." "That's so racist!" :)
I did enjoy the Ke$sha song along with the explosing ending. I thought it worked for the moment of the show. I'm don't generally analyze the episodes though. I just watch and enjoy for the most part.
Oh, I totally know why the show did it the way they did; it made sense. It was just a bummer, 'cause I'd been waiting for them to cover Ke$ha forever, and then they finally do and it ends in... that. :/ I did love Figgins' "Ke-dollar sign-ha" thing though (as well as "Tik and also Tok"); it was worth it for that moment alone!
Heh, I try not to analyze the episodes too much either - and then entries like this happen. It's inevitable, I suppose!

Oh, Glee. When they get it right - they get it right. Then when they get it wrong and I want to beat my head against a hard surface.
