Last weekend at Fabric War we had an archer presented with an award. This award was special to me, because I was around when the archers were talking about him, the work he does with others, the help he is in many ways to the Barony. Another night at FP
There seems to be some unspoke barriers at FP. The hardsuit fighters have their group and area, the rapier fighters, the same. Somewhere between all this is the A & S area, where many of the A&S women sit, talk, discuss, gossip, sew, craft, plan, and overall have a great time by themselves and their kids. Football and the SCA
A few years ago my mum sent all the kids a book of family lineage dating back to England. It had letters from old folks recalls stories, etc, who was who, rumours, etc. Good stuff. One family member that was the last victim of a duel in Missouri in the 1800's, also a mention of four brothers (German lineage) who were Baptist ministers. ( Read more... ) -
Fun at Gulf War, March 2009
Down in Gulf Wars there are some good people, a good mix of folks, a bit more diverse than at Estrella War, my neck of the woods. You hear the northern chilly accents of those from Northshield, the eastern twang from some urban folks of the Kingdom of the East, some dusty accents from the folks way out in Ansteorran way, and the down home comfort ( Read more... )
