There's a truckload of work, and for some reason fandom isn't the frivolous happy fantasyspace it used to be? The damn music industry's a fickle, incomprehensible thing. And my well's dry, y'all; I recognize it's time to take a step back.

Oh sweetie, I'm sorry! Work has just gotten worse, and my office firewalled LJ, and I found that my only online time was post-work when I should be with my family. So my life was out of balance and it was making me cranky with fandom, which kind of defeats the purpose of being in fandom in the first place? I hope to get back my balance and my happiness with fandom, and thought this was the way to do it.

I'm sorry to make a big dramatic posting, though! I just thought it was easier, rather than dropping off the face of the internets.

Thanks so much for taking me under your wing, so to speak, sharing your recs and observations and answering all of my inane fandom questions.
